Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Isn't Portuguese Sweet bread round? Why is yours baked in a loaf?
A. Many traditional recipes are baked in a round loaf, however, my bread is baked in a
traditional loaf shape to allow for more uses and to facilitate ease of shipping
and storing. I haven't sacrificed any flavor or character of the bread, and the
essence of its tradition is preserved in my recipe.
Q. How can I use Sweet Bread?
A. Portuguese Sweet Bread can be eaten plain, or toasted with butter. It
makes a delightful breakfast food, and is especially good as a snack with
coffee. Another great use at breakfast is as the main ingredient in French
Toast. It may be sliced to any thickness, so don't skimp on proportions! It can
also be served as a dessert, or used to make special sandwiches.
Q. Isn't Portuguese Sweet Bread only available at Easter?
A. No. Portuguese Sweet Bread
was once a specialty bread baked at holidays, especially Easter. But I bake the
bread daily, all year, so there's no reason you can't enjoy it as a regular,
year-round treat. Q. How can I get your bread? A. You can visit one of the many
fine local establishments that sell my bread. Or you can now order it directly
from me.
